GRIDWISE BENEFITS

GridWise will allow customers to better control their power use, enable a more effective use of electric system assets, optimized grid operations, in real-time, reduce capital investment risks, and provide a higher quality of services. PNNL has studied these potential benefits and made quantified, detailed estimates of their value. This valuation of GridWise benefits is an on-going effort and has been corroborated by a separate RAND corporation study.

In light of the potential benefits from GridWise, related questions are also under investigation: how will these benefits be allocated? How can the value of these benefits be better appreciated? How can these benefits serve to enhance transformation toward GridWise?
