REGULATORY OPTIONS AND GRIDWISE

Numerous regulatory options are imaginable which may accelerate or hinder progress toward the GridWise vision. A number of GridWise activities at PNNL are aimed at revealing regulatory options and better understanding how best to to integrate GridWise concepts in different scenarios. Our current work focuses on:

• Understanding policy surrounding GridWise (local, state, national)
• Investigating barriers to achieving the GridWise vision
• Studying market and incentive sructures that enhance transformation
• Performing economic modeling and analysis.
